If you are looking for strong, durable chairs, the Holland Bar Stool 400 Jackie chairs would likely meet your needs. These chairs are welded steel construction with a powder coated finish and are rock solid. They are heavy and come with solid acrylic floor glides that move smoothly on our hardwood floors. We ordered two chairs with the medium oak wood seats, which are solid oak with a thick finish that shows the wood grain well and appears durable. The wood seats have a nice scooped out area, which is comfortable and we find that the curved backrest angle is perfect for nearly a straight up sitting position. Be aware the description indicates that these chairs have an 18 inch seat height, which according to Holland Bar Stool Company is true for the padded seat models. The seat height is 17.5 inches for hardwood seat models. We are very pleased with the quality and appearance of these chairs.
